Our goal is to promote awareness about Asian Americans. By promoting Asian Americans’ history, we are increasing awareness and understanding of the history and culture of Asian Americans and building a more inclusive and equitable society.
On May 9, 2023, Governor Jay Inslee of Washington State made history by declaring January as Americans of Chinese Descent History Month in Washington. Governor Inslee commented, “The bill encourages public schools to educate students on this topic”, at the bill signing. This is a historical moment. Let’s build on this milestone and keep the momentum going.
